Campaign Management
DSI has been creating campaign management software since the early nineties. We’ve seen other solutions come and go, we’ve spent a lot of time talking to marketers about how they work, and we’ve spent years polishing and improving our own software. Our award-winning PromoTrak module is the result of that hard work. As our campaign management tool, PromoTrak performs complex customer selections not possible through conventional database queries.
Performance
While most open architecture products generate separate SQL queries for each cell in your campaign, MarketWide’s unique segmentation engine only needs runs ONE pass of the data to run large (100+ cell) or even very large (1,000+ cell) campaigns. It can process millions and millions of records with blazing speed. This allows you to get counts and make crucial decisions within minutes, rather than waiting hours or days.
Our PromoTrak engine is so powerful that we haven’t even hit a known limit to the number of segments you can have in a single campaign. There are campaigns with over 7000 selection cells in production today! That’s why we can say with confidence that PromoTrak is powerful enough to handle your campaigns.
Segmentation
More importantly, on top of this powerful engine, PromoTrak has one of the simplest user-interfaces in the industry. No need for SQL here. The entire module is point-and-click or drag-and-drop. The dialogs and the keyboard shortcuts internationally mirror the Microsoft Office suite. You don’t need to be a techie to get around here. If you can work with word, you can work in PromoTrak.

PromoTrak Selection Criteria Tab
PromoTrak also takes a lot of the headaches out of campaign management. PromoTrak will deduplicate automatically, display counts in a waterfall, roll up transaction data on the fly, and more! Campaigns are complicated enough; your software doesn’t need to be.
On the other side of your counts, you have to code your segments, create Nths, and generate output files. We know that’s part of the normal campaign process, and PromoTrak fully supports each of those actions. For B2B campaigns, we even let you limit the number of contacts mailed per site, based on your own criteria!
Promotion History
All of these features don’t mean a lot if you don’t have a record of what happened in a campaign. That’s why, as a part of every campaign, PromoTrak updates promotion history tables on the database. These tables contain ID’s, counts, and user-defined fields, such as keycode. Using these tables, you can output files in any format you choose or run matchback on new responses for your campaign analysis. You can even take a previously mailed segment and resolicit them. We call that multi-wave, and it’s brand new!
Multiwave
One of the new features in MarketWide 3.0 is support for multi-wave campaigns. If you’re just following up with non-responders or you’re generating a multi-channel campaign, you know what a headache it can be to keep track of everything. From scheduling the efforts to run at the appropriate intervals to making sure you remove responders and opt-outs, there are a ton of variables to keep track of in multi-wave campaigns.
Fortunately, we’ve enhanced MarketWide for exactly those sorts of situations. First, with our new templates, users can view each effort of the campaign on its own tab. This makes it simple see what each stage of criteria is. In the background though, MarketWide’s keeping track of each effort and uniting them with a common user-defined campaign ID. Take a look at the multi-wave dialog:

Notice that interval column? Don’t worry about scheduling your efforts anymore. Just tell MarketWide the spacing between the efforts, and we’ll automatically run each stage of your campaign. You can even take a look at a scheduler window and see each campaign being run, so you know what you have in the pipe and what other MarketWide users have scheduled. Managers rejoice! Keeping an eye on your mail stream is easier than ever.
