How Does MarketWide Work?

MarketWide is designed around two principles: flexibility and simplicity.  We want our customers to be able to get at their data quickly and easily.  You’ll find this philosophy present in features throughout the MarketWide tool.  Here are a couple examples of both principles.

Open-Architecture 

Ever hear of someone having to change their database to make a product work? Seems a little backward doesn’t it? We think so.  That’s why MarketWide’s open-architecture.  We come and sit right on top of your existing database and we can work directly with relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server. While, other tools on the market might claim to support relational systems, their software is actually extracting, copying, and reformatting your data. This creates a copy for you to run against and that copy is outdated as soon as there is a data change. In contrast, MarketWide runs SQL queries in real time directly against your database.  Your reporting and your campaigns are real-time against the freshest version of your data.  If you update the database, you don’t have to wait for our software to catch up.  MarketWide can detect new data or tables automatically with a single refresh.  MarketWide is ready as soon as your data is!

Access

Clearly there are a lot of benefits to being open-architecture, but they don’t mean much if it’s hard for our customers to access our software.   Good news though! MarketWide’s access is superb.  You don’t need portal applications like Citrix or to work through terminal service productions.  MarketWide’s Windows-based thin-client communicates directly with the MarketWide Host.  You can connect through the Internet, your network, or a VPN without any fuss. 

Plus, we keep everything centralized on our MarketWide Host.  Ever have a situation where you started a project at the office and needed to keep working on it from the road? We have! MarketWide’s ready to make your life easier.  All of your work in the software can be stored under your user ID, which you can access from anywhere.  Don’t worry about synching multiple machines, or copying over files manually.  Just relax and let MarketWide take care of your work.

Maybe you don’t want to log in to MarketWide, but you still need to stay in touch with how your jobs are running? MarketWide has email triggering and notification built into our campaign management suite.  You can start a job using just an email, or get status updates sent directly to your Blackberry.  MarketWide’s ready to keep you dialed in, even when you’re not connected.
