MarketWide Applications
PromoTrak (campaign management)
PromoTrak is MarketWide's campaign management tool. PromoTrak is designed to perform complex customer selections not possible through conventional database queries.
PromoTrak:
- Selects customers or prospects based on a virtually limitless set of selection criteria, including RFM, psychographic and demographic data.
- Runs Business to Consumer, Business to Business, and Business to Household campaigns.
- Provides a friendly point-and-click environment for building campaigns.
- Performs fast selections by making a single pass of your data instead of a pass for each segment in your campaign.
- Saves hours of pre-aggregation steps by aggregating transaction data "on the fly" during campaign processing.
- Shows you match and non-match counts while the campaign is still running.
- Produces an array of automatically unduplicated segment-level counts.
- Allows users to attach additional information, such as keycodes or appeal codes, to selected customer records.
- Permits selections to be nthed, if necessary, and split into multiple test and control groups.
- Updates promotion history tables, which allows you to keep track of each "touch" made to a customer.
- Automatically generates a mailing file which may contain all of the information needed for solicitation purposes, such as name/address, phone number, and email address.
- Creates templates containing promotion history settings, mailing file configuration, and even campaign selection criteria on which you can base future campaigns.
- Lets you cancel, change, and resubmit campaigns with ease.
- Offers a very powerful "max per site" capability, allowing you to specify an unlimited number of site constraints based on practically any condition.

MarketTrak (response analysis)
MarketTrak is MarketWide's integrated campaign response report. Using information from your promotion history and response tables, MarketTrak quickly compiles information to analyze campaign success. MarketTrak is very flexible, letting you define the format of your report and even decide what functions to include. You can even set up different formats for different types of campaigns!

Utilities
SQL Manager
SQL Manager is a common feature accessible from all the MarketWide components and is an integral part of the function of MarketWide's programs. SQL Manager serves multiple purposes: it allows you to open and view database objects, such as tables and views, select a database and table to work with in a particular MarketWide program, and query your database with the Query Builder utility.
Query Builder
Query Builder allows you to interactively examine the information in your database. Query Builder is useful when you wish to see subsets of your data, or if you want to perform such calculations as counts and sums, and add dimensions by which to group and sort. Once you select the information you wish to see, with the click of a button you can display it in a scrollable Data Viewer.
Data Viewer
Data Viewer displays output resulting from viewing table contents in SQL Manager or running Query Builder reports. From Data Viewer, you can print data or save it as a Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, or HTML file.
AdHoc Query Window
While MarketWide provides a friendly and powerful point and click environment for querying your database, the AdHoc Query Window allows for entering and executing SQL commands directly, or ad hoc. Available from the MarketWide main window and from within most MarketWide applications, the AdHoc Query Window lets you (if necessary, and if you are familiar with SQL language) create new queries or edit existing ones. For example, you can create a point and click query, then switch to the AdHoc Query Window, which displays the underlying SQL code generated from the point and click query and allows you to modify it.

Other Features
Scheduler
MarketWide's Scheduler allows you to automatically run DataMiner and PromoTrak reports without having to manually setup and run the query. All you have to do is setup the report once and the Scheduler does the rest, saving hours of wait time and preventing you from forgetting to run important reports. Using the Scheduler function, you can arrange the dates and frequencies of the reports that need to be run. These reports can run even if you are not logged into MarketWide or if your local computer is off. When you login to MarketWide, the main task screen will display the scheduled report and its status.
Customer Information Function
MarketWide allows you to quickly see all available information for a single customer or a group of customers with the integrated Customer Information function, included with every installation of MarketWide. To activate this feature, simply select a range of one or more customer keys on any MarketWide output window and right-click the range. A popup menu appears with Customer Information appearing as a menu item. The Customer Information function accesses tables in your database to display customer details.
Frequency Distribution Function
MarketWide's Frequency Distribution function performs a count on each value of a selected field. For example, if your database contains an Income_Code field, you can right-click it in SQL Manager to automatically generate a report showing how many customers you have in each income bracket.
Custom Reports
MarketWide lets you develop your own polished custom reports, which "attach" directly to the main window and appear as a standard part of the product. These reports can run dynamically, interacting with your users to get specific constraints and conditions. Output is displayed in a polished document-style format, where it can be saved or printed.
